Smell From Vagina. Post Menopausal. Taking Non Vegetarian Food. Will Diet Have Any Impact In The Smell?
I am a 40yr old, female, post menopausal (hysterectomy 6 yrs ago) I have noticed that for the last 2 weeks I am secreting an order like garlic and onions vaginaly. because I am on a mainly meat diet, I use both often. Is there another reason this could be happening and what can I do to change the smell?.. Do the foods I eat determine scent if so what are some other foods to neutralize the offending smells?
Welcome to HCM. There is no effect of any diet on smell of vaginal secretions, but it is usually due to some infections and improper hygiene. Take proper local care, wash that part with antiseptic soap or liquid, make it proper dry, avoid tight under garment. Drink enough water and other liquids. Apply cream containing clindamycin, neomycin with clotrimazole or miconazole. Take oral antibiotic like azithromycin, cefixime and anti fungal like flucanzole or terbinaforce. Get examined by gynecologist for proper diagnosis and medical management.
