Smelling Chalk In The Nose, Lightheadedness. Neurological Problem?
I was wondering why it is that when i breathe, I randomly get a chalk smell in my nose. It's almost like a sweet chalk smell. It's at random times and random places. And also, sometimes when I'm walking, its almost like im stomping and I get extremely light headed and when i look at the ground it's almost as if its dipping in. Is this a neurological problem?
Hello Friend Welcome to H.C.M With little information and as per the history you have given and the clinical findings this seems you are suffering with parosmia . this is a condition which is usually found in infection of the sinuses or tonsils. better get the CT scan of paranasal sinuses to rule out Sinusitis. in such condition I usually treat with broad spectrum antibiotic for two weeks and and nasal decongestants for one week. But still I would suggest you to consult the Specialist if you don’t get relief as on examination the findings may be different and line of treatment may have to be changed. Please don’t hesitate to consult and ask for any more query. i will be pleased to answer. With best wishes for a speedy cure Yours sincerely The Health Caremagic Medical Team
