Smoked Kryptonite, heart Beats Fast And Body Numb After Smoking Marijuana, anxiety Problem

Back in September, my son smoked a substance called Kryptonite . It is an incense not for human consumption but these teenagers get real bright ideas that end up being deadly. Now, when he smokes marijuana or eats it, his heart beats so fast and he starts to get numb, what does all that mean? I know he now has a form of an anxiety problem. Please help!

Hi,

Marijuana is well known to increase risk of developing anxiety disorders as well as psychosis, especially if use is started in young age. So most probably, his symptoms are due to marijuana only and Kryptonite may not be related. Both racing heart beat and numbness are common in anxiety. I suggest that he should quit marijuana.

Best wishes.
