Sore And Bleeding Toe Due To Stubbing Toe On Pavement Followed By Soft, Whitish Toenail. Suggest

Hi,
I stubbed my toe on the pavement, and it was bleeding a lot, and sore for about a month, it never fell off. I thought I clipped it down and painted it with toe nail polish to hide it. Now, a month later, I took the nail polish off and it is now turning white, does this mean it is falling off? It feels soft, it is white, there is no yellow or anything like that. No puss, just a white toenail over 90% of the nail.

it has most likely got seperated from the nail bed(onycholysis) due to the trauma and its better to get it removed because it can get caught in something and cause you more trauma or pain
