Sore And Stiff Neck, Severe Sweats, Weakness, Fatigue, Sore Throat, Cough, Swelling In Lymph Nodes. Help?

I have had a very sore stiff neck for 2 weeks now. at first thought I had slept funny but the last three days I have had severe sweats, weakness, fatigue, sore throat, cough and STILL a sore neck and headaches. Saw Dr Weds and she put me on antibiotics saying I have swelling in my lymph nodes in my neck, I feel so ill I wish I was in hospital which says it all. what can it be?

hello
you must continue with antibiotics.
you must consult your doctor as severe sweats and weakness could be other than viral infection.
get done throat swab, blood investigation like complete blood counts with ESR if the lymph nodes doesnt go after 7 days course of antibiotics then Fine needle aspiration cytology from lymph nodes test should done.
