Sore Gland Behind Ear, Painful, Sore Scalp. Returned From A Trip. What Could Be This?

Hello, I just returned from Europe yesterday. About 4 days ago I woke up with a super sore gland behind my ear. Soon a gland lower on the back of my neck became sore. The skin is also super sensitive and painful (as if someone tried to pull my hair). The skin behind my ear and my ear is also sensitive. I can sleep but it's sore. The top of my scalp is also sore. I will call my doctor on Monday but should I go to a walk in clinic sooner or can I wait till Monday. After everything I read it sounds like I may have an infection of the hair follicules....I am concerned as this is something very new to me.

Hi,
From your history it seems that you might be having some infection in your ear or on scalp.
Go for one antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicine course after consulting your doctor and you will be alright.
Treat the cause if on scalp.
Ok and take care.
