Hi there,

Thank you for choosing healthcaremagic.

There is a possibility that the lump in his armpit which is sore to touch is probably an abscess which has developed or maybe a swollen lymph node which is probably infected now.

Armpit is an area where there is constant sweating and due to the warm and moist area can be prone to infections.

He should definitely have it evaluated by his doctor since it may need draining (if its an abscess) or just antibiotics.

Hope this is of help.

Best wishes.

Regards,
Dr. Sumeet.
