Sore Nipples With Discharge. Abnormal Thyroid Levels And Pituitary Hormones. Mammogram Suggested. What Are The Causes?
my wife had a breast exam the other day, she is leaking out both nipples, and they are sore. her blood result s say that she has abnormal thyroid levels and abnormal pituitary hormones. she has a mammogram set up for a week out. we don t understand just what the thyroid is what it does and why the levels are not normal and how it s causing this.

look both thyroid and pituitary gland abnormality can lead to similar problems like galactorrhoea
hypothyroidism sply can lead to this. For this you need thyroid hormone supplementation.
on the other hand pituitary abnormality secondarily may lead to hyperprolactinoma that may give rise to excessive milk like discharge and for that you have to take bromocriptine tablets.
excessive secretions had lead to soreness of breast.
again you have to exclude underlying mass lesion in the breast for that you are been rightly suggested a mammography because it can detect the mass.
dont be worried. after proper diagnosis appropriate treatment will relieve your symptoms.
