Sore Nose, Bleeding While Blowing Nose. History Of Having Oxygen Tubes In Nose For Knee Replacement. Due For Other Knee Done, Suggest To Prevent Dryness In Nose
I had a total knee replacement and I had the small oxygen tubes in my nose when I woke up. They were left in for another day and although I did not mind, my nose got very sore and after I came home I was blowing my nose and a great deal of blood came out. wondered if it , the oxygen, helped in healing and I am supposed to have the other knee done so what can I do or ask for to pre vent the excessive dryness in my nose.

Hi thanks for using HCM.
This may be due to injury caused whilre inserting the tube. If this dont stop on its own then needs examination to see the injured part. Put compression to stop bleeding, dont put any finger or foreign body into nose now and show to your ENT specialist for further management.
Hope this will help you.
Regards
