Sore Throat, Burning While Swallowing, Blood In Mucus. Treatment?

Hi, just in the past couple daye I have started to experience a sore throat. It is to the point now where it actually burns when I swallow. I have also noticed from last night and today that when I spit out the mucus in my throat from coughing, there appears to be a small amount of blood in it. I have had sore troats plenty of times this time of year from my allergies, but never this bad. I am also pretty congested.

Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
The sore throat can be due to tonsillitis or throat infection.
Gargle frequently using warm saline.
Avoid intake of cold, spicy food items.
Please do visit an ENT specialist and take complete course of antibiotics-analgesics.
Take care.
