Sore Throat, Painful, No Fever Or Rash. Taken Ibuprofen And Paracetamol. How To Ease Pain?

Hi Doctor, I have had a sore throat for 4 days now. It is mainly on the right side. The node in that region is swollen and painful. it is very painful to swallow even after taking ibuprofen and paracetamol . There is a small collection of exudate on that right tonsil . I have no fever or rash . Had a similar episode 4 weeks ago and it affected the left side of throat and also had respiratory symptoms as well( sinus and chest involement). What can i do to ease the pain and what is the usual duration of this ailment?

if you have a small collection of exudate over right tonsil thn plz have an expert consultatoin.it can be a becterial infection which needs administration of proper antibiotics at the earliest.get a culture ans sensitivity done for throat swab.dont neglect it.simply taking paracetamal and ibuprofen will not help.

take short course of sinus and throat specific antibiotics
add antiallergic to decrease mucus secretions
antacd gel tds
antiseptic mouth wash gargles tds
add analgesic and antiinflamatory sos
may take 3 wk

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having acute tonsillitis giving rise to enlarge lymph nodes.
Go for one antibiotic medicine course.
do salt water gargles.
Avoid cold drinks and junk food.
Ok and take care.
