Due period in a sexually active women must have an hpt done to rule out pregnancy as the symptoms resembles pregnancy. I advice you to have an ultrasound also and consult a gynecologist to examine you. I dont think other that this there might be any other serious associations but ultrasound is necessary as it will also rule out polycystic ovarian disease in which you will see irregular periods.
