Spreading Itchy Bumps Turning Into Red Blotch On The Knee

on my knee, there were 3-4 itchy bumps which I thought were bug bites but now it is a red blotch about 2 inches in diameter and the itchy bumps are not there. It is slightly raised and smooth, uneven edges (not in an exact circle), not a target shape, spreading a minute amount daily, still itchy.

Hi,

Probably you are having lichen urticatus also called papular urticaria. There may be severely itchy papules spreading to plaque development. It is a hypersensitivity to insects like bed bug or somr other. You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis. Antihistaminics like levocetirizine may be taken. If needed short course ofsteroids in tappering dose may be taken. If there is infection associated, take a short course of antibiotics. Apply combined cream of steroid and antibiotic. Avoid soap during bath. Take precaution to avoid exposure to insects. You may be alright. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
