Stiff, Aching Neck. Hurts To Turn Head. On Steroid, Antibiotic For Sinus Infection. What Could Have Caused This?
For the last two days I've had a stiff and aching neck, kind side and back of the neck and top of shoulder. It hurts when I try to turn my head or look over my shoulder. I can't think of anything particular I have done to cause this so wondering what could be going on. I have recently been taking a steroid and antibiotic for a sinus infection.
Welcome to HCM. Pain, stiffness of the neck is most likely due to fibromuscular involvement. It usually occurs after improper posture during sleeping, sitting, working. X-ray cervical region is needed to confirm the diagnosis. Otherwise start nsaid with muscle relaxant.Apply nsaid gel locally. Take b12,folic acid,calcium,d3,minerals and other supplements. Consult your family physician for better guidance and medications.
