Stitches From Laceration, Burning Sensation. Can It Be Related To Nerve Damage?
my stitches from a lasceration have a burning sensation when touched or grazed. The injury is about a week old and has had no other complications or issues, and seems to be healing normally otherwise. Is this normal, or is the burning feeling a sign of a bigger issue. I am aware nerve damage can relate this way sometimes and am inclined to initially dismiss it as the nerves are maybe oversensitive...
HI Thank for asking to HCM No this may not be because of nerve problem, burning sensation is fairly common in lacerated wound if it is being sutured, it will definitely go away, once the wound healed, the sensation of burn could be because of the local inflammation you can try any anti inflammatory drug for this have nice day.
