Stomach Gurgling, Nausea And Constipation. Acid Peptic Disease?
For about a week now I've had stomach gurgling, mild nausea, constipation and loss of appetite. Sometimes I feel a bit dizzy when I sit down and my eyelid feel heavy. I do work a very busy job on my feet all day(hairstylist) and don't always get a chance to eat properly. Might be acid peptic disease but I would really rather not take antibiotics. What would u suggest?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Raghuram's Response
Hi ! From your history it could be a case of acid peptic disease. You dont have to take antibiotics for this problem. I would suggest you undergo an endoscopic evaluation for confirmation of diagnosis. In the mean time you can take tab pantoprazole 40mg twice a day before food for three weeks. Another suggestion is to maintain a regular eating habits to avoid worsening of the problem.
