Strange Sound From Chest. Earlier Taken Antibiotics For Sore Throat. No Pain. Cause?
Hello. 25 year old Female. Height is 5'2 and weight is 120. About three weeks ago I started hearing a very strange sound from my chest when I took deep breaths. It's not a wheezing. It's very hard to explain. It kind of sounds like a squeak. I had strep throat at the end of August, but took antibiotics and it cleared up. I'm not sure if that's related in any way. I'm also a smoker (i know i know!) so looking online, ive began to panic. Would anyone know what could be causing this? I dont have any pain in my chest. Just the weird "eeeeK"
Sometimes an infection or smoking causes bronchiolitis i.e. an inflammation of the smaller airways and hence these can cause the sound like wheezing and squeaks. Also a wheezing can pretend to you like squeaks however when someone hear your chest with a stethoscope it will sound more like a wheeze. You can get an xray chest done to see whether there is any pneumonia and if not
