Stubbed Toe, Bleeding, Clear Liquid Discharge. Used Hydrogen Peroxide And Betadine. Help?
I stubbed my toe a week ago and it bled a lot. Right now, my toe has been oozing a clear liquid. It doesn't hurt at all anymore. Although it is a bit sensitive. I've been putting Hydrogen peroxide and some betadine on it. I want to soak it in epsom salts but I couldn't get hold of any. Do you have any alternatives to soaking it in epsom salts? And is it normal for my toe to ooze this clear liquid?
You seem to have developed a localized infection over the toe region. oozing of fluid or blood from the skin is in no way normal. Keep the affected area clean and dry. Apply a topical antibiotic cream over the area twice a day. You might in addition require oral antibiotics. You should see a local physician as soon as possible so that proper antibiotics can be started after assessing your skin condition.
Hope it helps
