Sudden Cramping In Legs And Shivering With Low Fever
Hi. I was driving home from school and all of a sudden my legs started cramping really bad. I got home and realized I was freezing to the point of shivering I took my temp. And I had a low fever of 99.3. I am now laying down but now I feel like I'm going to be sick to my stomach at any moment. I didn't feel bad today except the fact that my cigarettes tasted funny, like I just didn't want to smoke today. Now I don't know what to do with myself.
The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to viral infection. Management includes: 1. Analgesic, anti pyretic agent like paracetamol. 2. Antihistamine preparations for symptomatic relief 3. Antibiotics to prevent secondary bacterial infection. 4. Avoid cold food & drinks.
If symptoms still persist, it will be better to consult your General Physician & get a proper clinical examination done. Investigations like complete blood count, serum electrolyte estimation, peripheral smear for malaria parasite & dengue check will be helpful.
Wish you good health. Take care.
