Sudden Indent On Lower Back, Painful. What Could Have Caused This?

I have a sudden indent on my lower back, just above my buttocks . It is somewhat painful, almost bruised feeling but there is no bruise and I don t recall bumping into anything. What could have caused this? Should I be concerned? I am a 35 yr old female in relatively good health. I am currently getting over a cold and I take medication for hypothyroidism . I am 5 8 and weigh 133 lbs.
