Sudden Voice Loss, Advised To Get Voice Box. Could It Be Cumulative ?
someone in my family suddenly lost their voice. He has undergone surgery and his doctors are advising him to get a voice box to be able to speak, alternatively he will be unable to speak going forward. Some questions:
What would cause him to lose his voice? Is this incident sudden or is cumulative and the patient chose to ignore any and all symptoms?

I read your query and I believe that very unlikely the patient loses his/her voice after surgery of the other part than larynx. and no such method is there to change the voice box. You must consult the E.N.T specialist as only after the examination one can tell the status of the larynx/ voice box. If still in doubt, please feel free to see a doctor.
