Suffered From Strained Hip Flexer While Lifting Weights. No Relief By Taking Anti Inflammatory Medicines And Appling Ice
My daughter is a college basketball player and has lifted weights since she was 14, she is now 19. She suffered a strained hip flexer according to the sports medicine doctor who told her to ice, stretch and use anti-inflammatory meds. She has been doing this for three weeks and she does not feel any relief. The trainers said it might be the labrum. I am very concerned and wonder if this is a normal recovery for the hip flexer, if we should be doing more or what our course of action should be. Thank you
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. It appears to be thew arthritis of the hip joint, rarely could be the tuberculosis of the hip. I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have an M.R.I. for diagnosis. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms neurotropic injections for 10 consecutive days, ofloxacin, acylophenac and paracetamol. Avoid taking potato, other tubers, tomato, egg, chicken, and sea foods till the pain is relieved. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you. .
