Suffering From ALS, Why Is My Tongue And Mouth Stick To Each Other?
I have ALS, my tongue and mouth and soft pallet of my mouth is constantly drly and stick together. I use a mucus removal machine a couple times a day. When I'm trying to sleep, the top of mouth and toungue sick together can't swallow. YYYY@YYYY
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query. The sticking of the tongue to the palate can be because of the reduced salivary secretion secondary to the ALS or the drugs you are taking for ALS. Nothing to be panic, consult an oral physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can use artifician salivary substitutes like carboxy methyl cellulose. Keep sipping water. I hope I have answered your query, take care.
