I m suffering from it since last 3-4 years n and last 3 months I was just on CBT. but that dint work much. so veniz was started and after taking dat I faced its side effects more like numbness in head, shivering, giddiness, hot flashes. and I dint feel better with it. so should I continue with it or stop? or is there any other treatment?
Welcome to HCM. Venlafaxine/Veniz is a SSRI drug which is effective in many forms of anxiety and agoraphobia. The best results are seen when counselling and medication are used together by the psychiatrist. If you are having side effects with a particular SSRI drug, your doctor can switch to other SSRI drugs which are equally effective. It has been observed that there may be a individual variation in response to different SSRI/SNRI drugs,it is for your doctor to select the best one if you are having problems with one.
