Suffering From Amoebaiasis, Decreasing Platelet Count. How To Improve Platelet Count?

My friend is in the hospital right now because of amoebaiasis. Her platelet count showed a decreasing platelet count. I want to know what might cause this lab result, and what can we do to get her platelet count up again? Are there any food she can eat to help her improve the platelet count? Thank you.P.S. I trust the care that she is given in the hospital right now, but it helps to know these things myself.

i can feel your concerns

there are various causes of low platelet count .infection is one of them

Since your friend is suffering from amoebiasis,so most likely it is infection resulting in destruction of platelets.

her platelet count will improve as soon as her infection is treated.

other causes of low platelet count will also be ruled out by her doctor and if it is continuing to decrease,she may need a bone marrow biopsy to find cause
there are no such foods to improve count and drugs are given to treat low platelet count ,according to cause
