Suffering From Antisynthetase Syndrome With Anti-jo1 Antibody

I have antisynthetase syndrome with Anti-jo1 antibody. It s an inflammatory syndrome, with myositis, polyarthritis, Raynaud s disorder and Interstitial lung disease. I m hanging in there, but recently, my right thumb became unusually swollen. I m right-handed, so this makes it difficult and painful to hold a cup, turn my keys in the car, etc. I ve been icing it, but the swelling is just increasing. What can I do until I see my rheumatologist in a couple of weeks?

I can understand your concern.
Most probably your disease has worsened you will require anti-inflammatory medication like an naproxen , but it is a prescription drug so you will have to consult your doctor.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query.
