Suffering From Apsis With Lot Of Pain On His Back And Depression, Diabetic. Right Medication?
Hi Doctor. I am Harsha from Bangalore, India. My father is diabetic for the past 17 years. His sugar level is almost within normal range. His toe and the second finger had to be amputated about a year ago due to dry gangrene. He underwent an Angioplasty 3 months back. Since almost 5 to 6 years he is repeatedly suffering with apsis at different places on his body and he is suffering from one right now on his back with a lot of pain and depression due to all these sufferings. We have consulted about 5 different doctors for curing this abnormal happening and to know the cause for it but in vein.. I request your good self to suggest us further. Eagerly awaiting for your reply sir..

Hello, Uncontrolled diabetes leads to development of sepsis and abscess on different places in body. The one at the back seems to be a carbuncle and this would need a surgical removal of them. I would advise you to consult a surgeon and get it diagnosed and excised. Make sure to keep your blood sugar levels in proper control. Thanks
