Suffering From Cold And Yellow Mucus. Took Antibiotics. What Is The Treatment?
i started with a cold 1 week ago, then for the first time it seems to settle in my nose. got an over the counter sray which advices you to only use it for 3 days, but now that is the only thing that clears my nose,sun day i started an antibiotic, so yesterday the mucus turned yellow. now what do i do. don t have insurance. is there an over the counter i could start taking at this point.

Hi and thanks for the query There is no over the counter that you can take. You need to see the doctor. You may require an appropriate antibiotic. Do not take antibiotics without consulting a doctor. Steam inhalation 5 times a day should help you. Do not use decongestant nose drops for more than 5 days. It will cause reflex congestion and increase your nose block. Do not use air conditioning or fan. Drink lots of fluids and see your doctor. take care, Dr Kishori
