my daughter is 30 months old and 15kg and is suffering from fever .Our regular Pediatrician was not available and consulted a different Pediatrician.She had a fever and throat infection.the Doctor advised Azithral Liquid 100 ( AZITHROMYCIN ORAL SUSPENSION IP 20mg/ml), to be given 6.5ml for 5 days in the.is this dosage ok

i a sorry to hear that your daughter is sick. hope she gets better soon. Azithromycin is prescribed at 20mg/kg given as a single daily dose. Therefore, your baby needs 15*20=300mg. Ideally, it should be 15ml/day.
I don't know why your doctor may have chose to make it 6.5ml/day. I suggest you talk with hi before considering to alter the dosage. He may have some more information that we don not have right now.
