Suffering From Left Parietal Ischemic Infarcts, Slurred Speech. Taken Ayurveda Medication. What Can Restore Speech?
My father-in-law,M/68years/Non-Diabetic,suffering from left parietal ischemic infarcts,since 20th May,2013. He is at Nagpur,Maharashtra,and till to-date talks in monosyllables slurred speech.Before his walk was limped,but now improved by 30%.He can see-identify people,but when asked for the persons name,he seems to look hither-thither as if searching for information in his mind.Will he regain full speech, as he has lifestyle history of Cigarette Smoking since last 20 years.Please suggest Ayurveda medication to be taken to restore speech.

nasya of AAnu taila daily twice daily
and decoction of ashwagandha , bala , prasarini, shachar , jyotishmati will be very helpful

1. probably he is suffering from dysphasia (motor) and speech is monosyllables slurred (scanning) that means cerebellar part is involved. (CVA is the commonest cause of aphasia)
2. because he has difficulty (defect in articulation) go for neurological examination for any nerve palsy.
3. regarding regaining full speech, his level of consciousness,intelligence level, vision, hearing has to be taken into account.
4. In the mean time you can opt for following:
. oil pulling (kaval dharan) with saindahv oil mixed with mahanarayan oil
. kalyan avleha 5gm with clarified butter,3 times a day
. apply paste of ashwagandha ghee with sitopladi churan on tongue.

considering his age and history it is hard regain his full speech but Yes he can regain at some extent.
Panchakarma (basti) treatment wiil really help for his problem.
for this you can go to nearby Ayurvedic clinic.
Also do Nasya with Goghruta or ksheerbala or dhanwantar aawarti or panchendrya vardhan tail 2 times a day, daily for atleast 1-2 months. u can do this at home.
Try to Avoid constipation,
Eat non heavy,nutritious diet.
Have your father in law a GOOD SPEECH!!
