Suffering From Loose Stools, Recurring Stomach Ache And Headaches. Took Dependol, Norflox. Suggestions ?

hello doctor ..Me and my wife are both suffering from loose motion (watery almost), recurring momentary stomach aches every 1/2 hr or so (due to gas i think) and splitting head aches ..she had it since three days and i caught it (i think from her..) yesterday ... we have taken dependol and norflox .. can u please please suggest us something ... thank u so much

Dear Sir.,
Thanks for writing to us .
As per the symptoms described you have a bacterial/mixed infective food poisoning . Do you also have fever? have your temperature checked.Get your BP and physical examination done by a local doctor so that the level of your dehydration can be assesed.
Investigations:
Get your stools examined for routine and microcopy.Serum Sodium/Potassium/Chlorides/Urea/Creatinine have to be checked in addition to routine Blood/ Urine tests.
Adequately hydrate yourself with ORS(eg-Electral):. Muscular cramps /Splitting Headahes are due to Acid/ base and Electrlyte Imbalance.
Antispasmodics/Antacid/Probiotics/in addition to above antibiotics are essential.
If the Dehydration is severe kindly get appropriate IV fluids administered.
