Suffering From Over Weight. Having BP. Family History Having Hypertension. What Can Be Done?

I'm 21 yr old male weigh 175 pds 5"11. Bp has been high 140/90. Watch what I eat,no cokes , low fat diet, only water exercise 5-6 times a week run 2 miles etc. History of hypertension in family am I destined to take meds the rest of my life. At this point have been examined by dr EKG normal ,normal heartrate waiting on blood work but has been normal in past. But bp continues to be high?

140/90 indicates mild blood pressure..that too you had a family history of hypertension..
Regular exercise,low salt diet may help you..but you should take anti hypertensive medication..
Consult general physician and he will prescribe you the correct medication.
you must take that one regularly for life long..
