Suffering From Right Varicocele, Tolerable Pain. Is Surgery Required?

hi i m 22 years old, i m suffering from right varicocele since i m 19years old.. The pain is tolerable, about 4 out of 10 (10 is the most painful).. My doctor (general surgeon) suggested me that i can have surgery next time, after marriage if fathering is delay. My doctor also told me that surgery is NOT NECESSARY as of now, so i can wait for more than 5 more years before having surgery. is my doctor right? thanks! :)

Hi,

Yes your doctor is correct. Surgery for varicocele is decided based on the symptoms you're suffering from.

Moreover, surgery should also be planned based on patient's readiness to become father, as one of the main complcation is infertility.
