Your vwifes sugar level is 400 (is after food or fasting) . But any way she is severe hyperglycemic. consult to your doctor and avoid all carb diet, fried food, junk and fast food. daily morning walk shold be practised. take the treatment asap. Thank you

Hi As suggested earlier the cause has to be determined to treat. Acute episodes are treated with infusion of calculated dosage of insulin. you need to consult a doctor for the diagnosis and treatment.

Sugar is on higher side . If you are asking why it is high ; her food, dietary habits , lifestyle , not taking medications wisely etc etc lot many can be reason.
What she needs is proper medication , insulin dosage .
a very strict diet managing her food with medications.

this is called Hyperglycemia i;e high blood sugar levels.patient with first-time hyperglycemia should be diagnosed immediately with diabetes if that patient is concomitantly ill with something else. Further testing, such as a fasting plasma glucose, random plasma glucose, or two-hour postprandial plasma glucose level, must be performed.Also a test called Glycosylated hemoglobin must be done.
Treatment of hyperglycemia requires elimination of the underlying cause, e.g., treatment of diabetes when diabetes is the cause. Acute hyperglycemia can be treated by direct administration of insulin in most cases. Severe hyperglycemia can be treated with oral hypoglycemic therapy and lifestyle modification.
