What is the best OTC medicine to relieve inflamed vocal cords that hurt like the dickens, expecially if I try to talk? Today my new ENT injected my vocal cords with a plumper-upper gel (called Renu, I believe) to counteract an overinjection of Botox 2 weeks ago (the Botox injections were for spasmodic dysphonia). Anyhow, because he had to use more injections than he d used before - or for whatever the reason - I have much, much more soreness and inflammation than I ve ever had before. Is there an OTC I can use over the weekend that will help relieve the soreness as well as reduce inflammation? Or should I just drink warm tea with honey rather than spend money on an expensive OTC med? Thanks!
