Hello dear
I understand your concern
Please note the detail treatment of shingles that caused by varicell zoster virus.

Initially treatment:
1. Anti viral medication:Acyclovir
2. Pain medication: acetaminophen
3. You can use following Topical treatment
- Neosporine ointment
- Calamine lotion
- Capsaicin cream
If pain not relieved after month:
Antidepressant: Amitryptaline
Topical anesthetic: Benzocaine or lidocaine
Opioids and caffeine can be used.

So at this time you can take acetaminophen tablet and application neosporine/calamine lotion.
Take Cool water bath
Other treatment should be taken after physical examination
Hope this may help you

Contact further if follow up needed
Best regards
