Suggest A Diet To Manage Gastrointestinal Distress In A Child

My daughter is 8 years old. She has burping problem. At the beginning she had dizziness and vomiting sensation. After few days burping started. Our paediatrician gave lanzol junior and advised to avoid spicy food. After a week she became normal and the problem started again. Now it's around one and a half months since the problem has started. The problem continued and 5 days back we went to the gastrologist. He told it's due to loaded colon after a x-ray. Also her vit D level is too low(6.5). So he gave movicol paediatric, nexpro junior and d-rise for vit D. After giving this her burping increased with very loud sound and she is feeling very week, pain in her hands and legs, headache and she is very tired. I am too worried about her health. Please suggest whether to continue these medicines or not. Please suggest diet to be followed as the gastrologist told to give everything. Thank you

Hi,

In my opinion you should continue the medicines, movicol is an laxative given to you child because of loaded colon, nexpro is an antacid given to reduce the gastroesophageal reflux and vit D levels is very low,so vit D is given. I suggest you to avoid spicy foods and should avoid lying immediately after having food.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
