Suggest A Remedy For Dark Patches Due To Fungal Infection
i am 25 yrs old lady. i had an fungal infection in between my legs abt 1 yr ago. which has been cured by medication now.But the infection has left the dark patches around. my skin colour is wheatish in colour .Please suggest me as i will be getting married in 4months..Please suggest any medication .

You have developed Post-inflammatory Hyperpigmentation/PIH. PIH is a non-specific reaction to any inflammatory insult to the skin and manifest as dark patches. PIH is a very common in response to fungal infections of the groin. However, these dark patches usually resolves with time provided the infection is kept in check. If I was the treating doctor I would have suggested a pigment lightening cream e.g kojic acid based cream once or twice daily to hasten its resolution. This is a prescription product and therefore I suggest you to talk to a doctor for the needful.
