Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hi,

Is your wife already on medications?

Your wife is having hashimoto's hypothyroidism (auto immune). The treatment of this condition is thyroxine hormone replacement. If you are already on thyroxine, increase the dose. If you are not started on any start on thyroxine at a lower dose like 25 mcg after consulting a physician and recheck your thyroid function tests after 2 months.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
