Hello,

Alzolam (Alprazolam) is a benzodiazepine commonly prescribed to treat anxiety disorders, panic disorders, and anxiety caused by depression.

Whereas Nexito (Escitalopram) is a selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor commonly prescribed in the treatment of depression and generalized anxiety disorders.

Taking Nexito along with Libotyp can increase the risk of a serious condition called the serotonin syndrome characterized by confusion, hallucination, seizure, increased heart rate and blood pressure, fever, excessive sweating, blurred vision, muscle stiffness, tremor, imbalance, stomach cramp, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. In its severe form it may result in coma and even death.

So, it is not advisable to take Nexito while on Librotyp. It is not advisable to reduce the dose of Librotyp without consulting your treating doctor.

So, dose can be gradually reduced under his supervision if he thinks it to be necessary.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
