Suggest Alternative Medication For Clonazepam
Is there a better drug for me than clonazepam 0.5. I feel very tired, balance issues and feel like I m getting forgetful. I ve been taking Xanax for 30 yrs. before I was prescribed clonazepam. The reason I switched was they say a new side effect is that I could get dementia. I take it for light headed ness and anxiety. Thank you

Xanax and clonazepam are same class of drug and have similar side effect profile. If there is risk of dementia with xanax, then the risk also exist for clonazepam.
If your anxiety is situational, you can take inderal tablet.
Drugs like escitalopram are much better and safer for anxiety.
Please talk to your doctor about this as these are prescription drugs.
