Suggest Alternative Medicines To Flecanide For PVCs Despite Normal Heart Monitor Findings And Current Medication

Hi, I have regular PVCs from my 48 hour holter monitor findings. It did not show Afib but my cardiologist wants to put me on Flecanide and I do not want to take this drug. I also have HTN and am taking 100mg Losartan Potassium and 50 mg Metoprolol. What can I do to get rid of the PVC s? My BMP, TSH and Mag were all within normal limits.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your electrolyte levels need to be checked. Potassium level variations produce PVCs. There is no conservative method of getting rid of PVCs apart form using medications.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Grace, General & Family Physician
