My name is jaya iam suffering from SLE from 18years iam using Wysolone 5mg and HCQS AND CALCIUM 1000mg daily. at present iam having AVN both hips and loosing my eye sight due to HCQS,
my eye doctor asked me to stop HCQS and go for some other alternative mecicine.

hcqs is a medicine which causes a very specific side effect called bulls eye retinopathy, before blaming hcq i think it would be better to get a second opinion on this as it is one of the safest medicine for sle.
In case it does turn out to be true, it may be replaced by other immunomodulators like azathioprine or methotrexate.
