Hi,

Methadone is a narcotic analgesic and might have been discontinued. Alternative pain reliever in the opioid group is Tramadol.

The dose in adults:: PO 50–100 mg every 4–6 hr, maximum daily dose of 300 mg. Usually not required more than 100 mg/day in twice daily divided doses. It is strictly a prescription drug. Clarify with the insurance company.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
