Hi I have been on humira for 1 1/2 years..and received co pay assistance, while working..As of July 3rd, 2014, I turned 65.( I retired as of 8-1-2013), Now I have to pay $67.77 EACH month...and medicare does not offer any assistance. I am trying to complete a form for assistance from Abbvie the maker of Humera..but they want our whole financial history. I have been receiving this med through Express Scripts/Accredo,whom I used for my meds for many years. Is there another med ( mine is 40 mg injector pen) that would be cheaper..and have similar benefits..and would be more reasonably priced? Thanks.
No. Here's all the possibilities. other similar drugs remicade, enbrel, rituxin are all similarly expensive. sometimes an insurance will allow one of them and not the others. I would bet against it.

Suggest An Alternative Medicine For Humira
No. Here s all the possibilities. other similar drugs remicade, enbrel, rituxin are all similarly expensive. sometimes an insurance will allow one of them and not the others. I would bet against it. methotrexate. this is a chemotherapy drug that lowers the immune system. it has different toxicity and is weaker against arthritis. prednisone this is an anti-inflammatory hormone that is quite toxic taken at high dose for a long time and really really immunosuppresses you. over the counter aspirin like drugs... good only for very mild disease. there aren t very good alternatives
