Suggest An Alternative Of Levantine

I was given Levantine for bronchitis 500 mg 1xper day for 14 days. I took it for 3 days and had weird dreams and mild stomach cramps. I read about the side effects and became very worried so I stopped the medicine after three days. I missed dosage for two days and now afraid that I stopped before I should have do to fear of Side effects. I called my doctor but she has not returned my call today. I wanted to see if another antibiotic with less possible side effects would be effective. Do you have an opinion ?

Hello,

Antibiotic may not cause the dream, it can cause the stomach cramp, let me inform you that any antibiotic can cause the stomach cramps.

But it is temporary and may go away once you finished the course of antibiotic.

Ciprofloxacin can be tried but prior to this infection condition needed to be confirmed, in absence of infection antibiotic does not have any role.
