Have been taking Multaq for two years since Norpace became unavailable. I have paradoxyl atrial fib..Why would Multaq not keep me on NSR? I am 83 and was diagnosed with atrial fib when I was 60. What drug should I change to? YYYYY@YYYY

Suggest An Alternative Of Multaq
Hello, Multaq(dronedarone tablets) - a class III anti-arrhythmic drug increases mortality in patients with heart failure. This Class III agent has modest efficacy in patients with paroxysmal AF, of whom approximately 30–50% will benefit. Amiodarone is more effective, maintaining sinus rhythm in approximately two-thirds (75%) of patients. It can be administered to patients with heart failure and coronary artery disease. It is also a class III antiarrhythmic drug. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Tushar Kanti Biswas, Internal Medicine Specialist
