Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a question about alternatives to Baclofen. I am a 60 year old male. I have been diagnosed with Cerebellar Cognitive Affective Syndrome by one medical group and Spastic Paraplegia by another. In September 2017 I had a Radical Prostatectomy. There was expected incontinence which I overcame with Kegal exercises. Last month I resumed Baclofen 10 MG. 3 times per day, because I had several painful falls. While resuming Baclofen, I became urinary incontinent. I started Baclofen slowly. I am not going to see the neurologist until summer. Can you suggest an alternative? I have never smoked and have not consumed alchol in 30 + years.

Suggest An Effective Alternative For Baclofen
Hello, You can consider thiocolchicoside which is an effective alternative to baclofen and it has got fewer side-effects. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
