Hello Doctor, I am 28 yrs old female, having UTI. Amicacin was prescribed to me, but it causes me excess weakness and other problem. E.coli is found in urine culture Plz. Advice oral medicine which can replace Amicacin. Or oral medicine for effective control on E.coli
As E. coli found in your urine culture and I think Amikacin drug may be started after sensitivity report. So that is your drug of choice as per report. If you have problems with that, then I will suggest you to consult with urologist with report.
He will start appropriate antibiotic as per the sensitivity report. As a physician I would start tablet Oflox Oz, syrup Neeri, and tablet Dolo.
But it is always better to start after sensitivity report. So, I will suggest you to review here with detailed history or consult with the urologist and regular follow up.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Shyam B. Kale
