I have Parkinsons which I have had for 16 years. I am starting to progress with one of my sx is excesssive drooling. My neurologist started me on Robinul oral and it worked wonderfully. Now my insurance won t cover it because the FDA sees it as Off-Label. I am appealing . I don t underdtamnd when every site says that the treatment is glyopyrrol. How do I get them to understand that I need this medication. Dealing with Parkinson s is hard enough. People are looking at me anyways ( I am 54) then to have me drooling ( I have to have a rag in my mouth - it is that bad. Thank you in advance. My medical condition is disturbances of salivary secretion
Robinul (Glycopyrrolate) is a muscarinic anticholinergic group of drug. It is used to reduce excessive saliva (sialorrhea); an alternative drug is Pro-Banthine (Propantheline Bromide).
